Is a silk base closure better than a lace closure?

Lace Closures are great because it gives you a flat and smooth appearance.

A silk base closure looks more like the scalp but is best to wear on a mesh system with a fringe as it’s sometimes can be hard to blend the silk base at the front without your client needing a fringe.

Silk base may not lay as flat but gives a much better finish when styled correctly.

When to tape at the front 

The tape we recommend to use with our lace closures is the walker contour tape, we have trialled many different types of tape and this tape seems to hold the best for clients who get very hot and sweat a lot with an active lifestyle.

You would use tape on your closure for clients who suffer with hair loss around the front. You should make sure your clients hair line is 4 fingers above the eyebrow.
