About Us
Hi! My name is Gemma and I set up Hair Closures and Frontals UK in early 2022 because I struggled to source great quality hair closures within the UK after COVID. I’m a hair loss technician myself, and working daily with hair loss clients and I understand the importance of a quality product. The supply chain issues in 2020 lead me to look for a solution!
Our Story
During the pandemic, there were major supply problems due to border closures, and many UK suppliers were forced to source cheap poor quality closures that went dry and knotty after a few washes, or would shed very quickly. The poor quality stock filtered down to hair extension technicians and wig makers creating an unsatisfactory – and potentially traumatic – situation for hair loss clients.
In 2021 I decided something had to be done. I decided to source my own hair closures from overseas. We worked with many different suppliers and sampled their closures for over 6 months to test the quality. After testing many samples we were able to settle on a premium supplier of European virgin human hair. I designed the colours that were popular and ordered a small amount of stock.
I then decided to test wefts in the same quality and designed a 25% ratio root to tip.
When I was finally happy with the product, I began offering my services to my delighted customers and we are now happy to offer our product to other Hair Loss Technicians!
Our Products
Virgin European human hair is a top quality long lasting product. Our clients report a huge difference when washing and brushing, as well as no matting or dryness
As well as top quality hair, our products use our own unique 5″ closure for improved coverage.
We also offer a 4×5” silk base closure which is extremely popular and our best selling line.
We have since added 13×4” lace frontals, 6×6” lace base closures, 3×5” lace base closures and natural ratio wefts that are perfect for wig making and hair loss replacement systems.
We provide colours that are difficult to source in the UK and welcome enquiries.
As our business grows my husband and I will continue to add more products and reach customers demand.
