Lace Base Closure

Hair pieces such as Lace Closure Hair Extensions are used to close wefts, tracks, or extensions so that you can have a natural looking hair parting. Lace Top Closures are perfect if you have thinning hair at the crown, and can be worn as a protective style to avoid leaving your natural hair out with a full head weave.

A Lace Closure is the same as a Hair Topper, its specifically for putting at the front of your hair (along your hairline) to give you volume and allows a great parting over thinning hair or over weave / sew in hair extensions. Top Closures are easy to install and maintain and can be glued, micro ringed or sewn into place.

Aftercare advice for clients purchasing closures

Your silk base / lace base closure can be applied using glue, tape, or sewn at the front of a mesh integration system.

We only recommend using glue if you have experience glueing your closure as this can be a bit messy.

You need to make sure you do not get any hair from your closure caught in the glue or tape. This can cause the hair to be pulled from the base of the closure when removed.

Before using your closure, cut the extra lace off at the front making sure not to cut the baby hairs or any part of the lace base.

Bleaching the knots of your closure is done totally at your own risk.

Your closure should last around 6 months plus, depending on how you will wear and how well you treat your closure when applied/fitted.

If wearing a wig and not wearing in bed at night, the closure will last longer than a client who is wearing a mesh integration system and wearing more permanent.

You can recommend silk hats and bedding for your clients to help maintain the closure for mesh integration clients.

Conditioner can loosen the knots of your closure, do not use conditioner anywhere near the base of your closure, only mid lengths to ends. The shampoo and conditioner we recommend for your closure and wefts is L’Oréal Pureology Hydrate.

You need to make sure you shampoo gently and rub downwards. Do not wash your closure upside down for example over the bath. Do not scrub hard.

Do not brush hard, if knotty, blow dry the knots and rub gently with your fingers to loosen any knotting.

It is not uncommon to notice bald patches after a few months of wear. Scratching and brushing hard can shorted the life of your closure so try not to do this.

Your closure should be washed once a week, more than this can shorten the life of your closure.

Make sure you are fully aware of how to look after your closure to make sure you get longevity and the best out of your purchase.

Exchanges are available as long as the closure is still in original packaging, not been used or blow dried, coloured or bleached within 7 days of placing your order.
